We have safely arrived in Prague as of yesterday. We were delighted to meet up with my "uncle" Arthur and "aunt" Shirley here in Prague for a wonderful dinner, possibly the nicest meal we have eaten all trip. Our waitress, Jana, would calmly write down whatever we ordered, then would say, "For you, I think this is no good. You should have this instead." She pointed us towards an amazing Pilsner Goulash and a Beef Sirloin with cream sauce and candied cranberries. Arthur had a sheep knee and Shirly had an amazing set of pork ribs (of which we will be eating the left overs for lunch!) We wandered around hoping to find an open ice cream place, but alas they were all closed. We ended up back at the same place for dessert that we had for dinner, and Jana again was happy to point the way. I had plums stewed in rum for dessert and it was the most wonderful thing I have ever tried. Lindsay had an apricot cake. Despite Jana’s directions, Arthur and Shirley held firm and ordered chocolate cake and ice cream, which they declared to be delicious as well.
Lindsay is battling a bit of a cold and sore throat, so she may spend some more time in bed. Unfortunately, the rain and cold weather has caught up with us, making it tough to fight off whatever it was that she caught in Munich. Luckily for us, this hostel does not have a lock out time, so she can sleep in bed for as long as she needs to today.
From the bit of wandering we got to do last night, Prague is a beautiful city and I am excited to head out an explore. As today in July 18, we have officially been here, in Europe, for a full month, leaving us 2 weeks to go.

I’m so glad that you were able to hook up with Dad and Shirley last night for dinner! I was thinking about you yesterday and hoping that everything worked out. Somehow I wasn’t surprised to hear that it was the best meal you’ve eaten so far
Also not surprised to hear that Shirley held firm on the chocolate. Sheep knee? No thanks!
Love,
Aunt Pam
